Brief to handover

The family had built once before and lost a year to a contractor who never wrote anything down. The brief was short: a house for four children, cool without air conditioning, and a schedule they could see.

We set the house across the slope so the living rooms open to the prevailing breeze, and pulled the bedrooms up to a first floor that catches the evening light.

Foundation and ground floor are complete. The first floor is at 55% and the roof follows in November.
